Este trabalho surge no âmbito do Mestrado de Especialização: Estudos
Profissionais Especializados em Educação / Especialização em Administração
das Organizações Educativa, Escola Superior do Porto / Politécnico do Porto.
Afirmando-se, como um processo objetivamente enriquecedor no domínio da
investigação, a fim de nos proporcionar um conjunto de ferramentas
essenciais, não só para aquisição de conhecimentos teóricos, mas também para
a aplicação dos mesmos em tarefas de “trabalho de campo”. No seguimento da
nossa profissão e com a percetiva de podermos, futuramente, vir a exercer
funções na direção de um Agrupamento Escolas, foi do nosso interesse
analisar à luz de algumas teorias organizacionais o binómio: “Liderança e
Cultura”. O objetivo principal do trabalho consistiu em analisar o desempenho
praticado/liderado pelo diretor de um Agrupamento de Escolas do distrito de
Vila Real, de acordo com os diferentes perfis de Liderança, a Cultura verificada
e a desejada na perspetiva dos restantes colaboradores/professores. A
população alvo do estudo, foram todos os professores que exercem funções o
Agrupamento de Escolas. Em termos metodológicos, recorremos às
abordagens quantitativas, através da aplicação de dois questionários
estruturados. A análise dos dados consistiu em responder às questões de
estudo, através da estatística descritiva. O estudo permitiu concluir, que os
perfis predominantes no exercício de funções do diretor, são: Facilitador,
Mentor e Broker. Também, a nível de Cultura Percebida e a Desejada, destacase
a Cultura relacionada com o Apoio/ Relações Humanas.
This work comes under the Master Specialization: Studies Specialized Professionals in Education / Specialization in Management of Educational Organizations, School of Porto / Porto Polytechnic. Asserting yourself as an objectively enriching process in research in order to provide us with a set of essential tools not only for the acquisition of theoretical knowledge, but also for the application of the same Task "field work." Following our profession and the perceptive we can, in the future, come to work in the direction of a grouping Schools, it was in our interest to analyze the light of some organizational theories binomial: "Leadership and Culture." The main objective of this work was to analyze the performance practiced / led by the director of a Group of Schools of Vila Real district, according to the different leadership profiles, verified the Culture and the desired from the perspective of other employees / teachers. The target populations of the study were all teachers who exercise functions Schools Group. In terms of methodology, we used quantitative approaches, through the application of two structured questionnaires. The data analysis was to answer the study questions, using descriptive statistics. The study found that the predominant profiles in the exercise director’s functions are: Facilitator, Mentor and Broker. Also, the level of Perceived Culture and Desirable, there is the related to the Culture Support / Human Relations.
