Abstract(s)
O presente Relatório de Estágio aborda a temática das práticas de gestão de
recursos humanos na atração e retenção de talentos. O objetivo deste relatório é
compreender as práticas de Gestão de Recursos Humanos na retenção de talentos
no Hotel Intercontinental Porto – Palácio das Cardosas e no setor hoteleiro e
descrever as atividades desenvolvidas no decorrer do estágio na entidade de
acolhimento.
Nesse sentido, foi feita um estudo teórico de forma a entender as práticas de
gestão de recursos humanos na retenção de talentos. De seguida, foi elaborado um
estudo empírico, que consistiu na elaboração de um questionário direcionado aos
colaboradores da entidade acolhedora do estágio com o objetivo de entender quais
as suas motivações ao trabalharem no InterContinental Porto – Palácio das
Cardosas.
Posteriormente foi feito a recolha de informação e os dados foram
introduzidos no software IBM SPSS onde foi feita a análise numa primeira fase todas
as variáveis foram calculadas as frequências absolutas e relativas, numa segunda
fase, foram feitos testes de U Mann Whitney com as variáveis de género e a saída
dos colaboradores a curto ou a longo do InterContinental Porto – Palácio das
Cardosas.
Os principais resultados do estudo desenvolvido no âmbito do estágio
curricular são que a grande maioria dos inquiridos está comprometida com o hotel
e com o setor hoteleiro e que o hotel possui um ambiente positivo de trabalho.
This Internship Report deals with human resource management practices in attracting and retaining talent. The aim of this report is to understand Human Resource Management practices in talent retention at the Hotel Intercontinental Porto - Palácio das Cardosas and in the hotel sector and to describe the activities carried out during the internship at the host organization. To this end, a theoretical study was carried out in order to understand human resource management practices in talent retention. Next, an empirical study was carried out, which consisted of drawing up a questionnaire for the employees of the organization hosting the internship, with the aim of understanding their motivations for working at the InterContinental Porto - Palácio das Cardosas. The information was then collected and the data entered into IBM SPSS software, where the analysis was carried out. In the first phase, absolute and relative frequencies were calculated for all the variables, and in the second phase, Mann-Whitney U tests were carried out on the variables of gender and whether employees left the InterContinental Porto - Palácio das Cardosas for a short or long period of time. The main results of the study carried out as part of the internship are that the vast majority of respondents are committed to the hotel and the hotel sector and that the hotel has a positive working environment.
