Lateralidade esquerdina no contexto da aprendizagem da guitarra em Portugal

| dc.description.abstract | A existência de uma diferenciação entre indivíduos da mesma espécie, relativamente ao uso de um dos lados do corpo em detrimento de outro, despertou o interesse da humanidade e nos últimos 50 anos da comunidade científica. A lateralidade está presente em inúmeros momentos da nossa atividade quotidiana e não só. O projeto de investigação desenvolvido, teve como foco a lateralidade no contexto da aprendizagem da guitarra, em Portugal. A metodologia adotada neste projeto foi mista e extensiva. Foram distribuídos inquéritos a nível nacional (estabelecimentos de ensino particular e cooperativo e públicos), para fazer a caracterização da população estudantil relativamente à sua lateralidade. Além disso, pretendeu-se aferir a perceção dos alunos, destros e esquerdinos, relativamente à escolha da postura a adotar na aprendizagem da guitarra, ou seja, se deve ser influenciada pela lateralidade dominante ou não. O mesmo princípio foi usado para os docentes, sendo eles possíveis intervenientes na escolha da postura dos seus alunos. Para conseguir uma triangulação metodológica efetuaram-se duas entrevistas a músicos profissionais, esquerdinos. Sendo o mundo dominado por destros, pretendeu-se ter a visão de dois guitarristas esquerdinos relativamente aos seus percursos académicos, vidas profissionais e no âmbito do ensino. Da análise dos resultados obtidos e da pesquisa bibliográfica efetuada verifica-se que a temática não é consensual. Há questões por clarificar por parte dos investigadores, nomeadamente, metodologias mais precisas na classificação da lateralidade e a descodificação, de um ponto de vista científico, do termo “natural” que alguns músicos referem na sua prática instrumental, e que define muitas vezes como tocam um instrumento musical. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The differentiation between individuals of the same species in relation to the use of one side of the body to the detriment of the other, has piqued the interest of humanity and the scientific community in the last 50 years. Laterality is present in countless moments of our daily activities and others. The research project developed, focused on laterality in the context of guitar learning in Portugal. The methodology adopted in this project was mixed and extensive. Surveys were distributed at a national level (private, cooperative, and public educational establishments) to characterise the student population in relation to its laterality. In addition, it was intended to assess the perception of students, right-handed and left-handed, regarding the choice of posture to be adopted in learning the guitar, that is, whether it should be influenced by the dominant laterality or not. The same principle was used for teachers because they can influence the learning posture. To achieve a methodological triangulation, two interviews were conducted with professional musicians who are left-handed. Since the world is dominated by right-handed people, it was intended to have the vision of two leftist guitarists regarding their academic paths, professional lives, and careers in the field of education. From the analysis of the results obtained and also from the bibliographic research, it appears that the theme is not consensual. There are questions to be clarified by the researchers. More precise methodologies are needed in the classification of laterality. From a scientific point of view, it's necessary to understand the term “natural” that some musicians refer to in their instrumental practice and which often defines how they hold a musical instrument. | pt_PT |
