| dc.description.abstract | O presente relatório pretende descrever a minha experiência de estágio na empresa editorial Pronto a Editar Atelier, no âmbito do Mestrado de Tradução e Interpretação Especializadas. Primeiramente, este relatório passa por contextualizar a entidade de acolhimento e o seu trabalho no mundo editorial, assim como descrever as atividades que levei a cabo durante o meu estágio na mesma. Adicionalmente, explora-se o tema da tradução literária, fazendo-se destaque à tradução de literatura infantojuvenil. É feita uma breve análise à história e evolução deste género literário, definindo, também, o próprio conceito de «literatura infantojuvenil» e o seu público-alvo. Ademais, analisam-se as particularidades inerentes à tradução de livros para crianças e como esta se diferencia da tradução de livros para adultos. Por último, é feito um estudo de caso através da análise da tradução do livro Anne of Green Gables de Mariah Marsden, que se apoia nas teorias tradutivas de Zohar Shavit, com o objetivo de averiguar que estratégias podem ser utilizadas aquando da tradução de textos infantojuvenis. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this report is to describe my internship at editorial company Pronto a Editar Atelier, as part of my master’s degree Specialized Translation and Interpretation’s program. Firstly, this report sets out to contextualize Pronto a Editar Atelier’s work in the editorial world, as well as describe the activities that I carried out during my internship. Additionally, it aims to explore the topic of literary translation, specifically the translation of children’s literature. A brief analysis is made of the history and evolution of this literary genre, as well as an effort to define the concept of «children’s literature» and its target audience. Moreover, there’s an analysis on the more particular characteristics inherent to the translation of children’s literature and how this process differs from the translation of adult literature. Lastly, a case study aims to analyse the translation of the book Anne of Green Gables by Mariah Marsden, based on the translation theories of Zohar Shavit, to identify which strategies can be used when translating children’s literature. | pt_PT |
