| dc.description.abstract | A inovação é o combustível da evolução do mundo, e as smart cities são efetivamente algo que pode comprovar-se e estabelecer-se como fundamental nesse mesmo capítulo. O desporto, sendo algo extremamente importante nas sociedades mundiais, quer a nível de lazer como espectador, quer como praticante profissional, tem um potencial imenso de inovação e de integração com o conceito de smart city. Esta dissertação tem então como objetivo abordar e definir o tema das smart cities, aliando-o ao mundo desportivo e, através de alguns exemplos, demonstrar as vantagens da integração de ambos os conceitos, assim como apresentar os problemas e obstáculos que precisam de ser ultrapassados para que estes objetivos sejam cumpridos. Ao longo da investigação foram ainda abordados os temas das novas tecnologias – inteligência artificial e a realidade virtual, procurando uma conexão significativa aos temas anteriores porque são hoje temas que condicionam o entendimento de smart city. Para que se pudesse expandir na análise destes temas utilizou-se uma metodologia de estudo qualitativa, através da análise de documentos sobre o tema e através de entrevistas com questões pertinentes e relevantes para a questão de investigação. Terminou-se este estudo com uma análise dos resultados obtidos e com uma análise das variáveis que foram estudadas, da sua relação entre si, e dos efeitos daí resultantes. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | Innovation is the fuel for the world’s evolution, and smart cities are effectively something that can establish and prove itself as something crucial in that same department. Sports, as something extremely important in the world’s societies, whether at a leisure level as a spectator or as a professional athlete, it has an enormous potential of innovation and integration with the concept of smart city. This project therefore has the main goal of addressing and defining the concept of smart city while connecting it to the sports world, and through some examples, show the main advantages that can be taken from the integration of both concepts, as well as showing the adversities and obstacles that have to be overcome in order to fulfil these objectives and goals. Also throughout the investigation were addressed the concepts of the new technologies – artificial intelligence, or virtual reality, searching for a meaningful connection to the investigation, and mostly because these are themes that condition the understanding of the smart city. In order to expand on the analysis of these subjects, it has been adopted a qualitative study methodology through the analysis of documents about these same subjects, and even through interviews with relevant questions to the question of investigation. We finished this project with a thorough analysis of the results obtained and with the analysis of the variables that have been studied, exposing the connections between them and the effects that resulted from those same connections. | eng |
