Abstract(s)
O desenvolvimento tecnológico transformou o mundo e a quarta e atual revolução industrial traz
maiores desafios às empresas e possui grande foco na captação e partilha de informação e na
integração homem-máquina. A metodologia lean tem sido cada vez mais usada pelas empresas
com o objetivo de dar resposta às mudanças de mercado, à pressão sobre os custos e à eliminação
de desperdícios, aos prazos cada vez mais curtos e às alterações no comportamento de consumo
da população. A pressão por inovação constante e adaptabilidade frente a tais mudanças
aumentam a complexidade das empresas em garantir sua performance e sobrevivência. Assim
como a lean, o papel de novas tecnologias é trazer maior eficiência e eficácia ao processo produtivo,
auxiliando e permitindo maior capacidade de adaptabilidade e controlo sobre o fluxo. As
tecnologias de Indústria 4.0 ainda recentes e em desenvolvimento e a filosofia lean aparecem então
ao centro dos debates atuais quanto ao contributo de cada uma para a performance das empresas,
em que ordem devem ser implementadas e em que grau de intensidade a integração deve ocorrer
para obtenção da melhor relação entre os dois conceitos. Por meio da aplicação da metodologia
survey foi reaizado um inquérito para perceção do panorama do tecido industrial português, tendo
sido analisadas 108 respostas. O presente trabalho busca analisar a correção de Lean e I4.0,
analisando de que forma as organizações integram Lean e I4.0 e verificar o impacto disso sobre a
performance das empresas, além de realizar um mapeamento do panorama do tecido industrial
português sobre o assunto em questão.
The technological development transformed the world and the forth and current industrial revolution bring greater challenges to the companies and focus on the capture and sharing of information and in the human-machine interaction. The lean methodology is becoming more used by companies aiming to give answer to the market changes, to the pressure on costs, to the pressure for waste disposal, to the increasingly shorter deadlines and to the changes on the population consumption behavior. The pressure for constant innovation and adaptability towards such changes increases the complexity to the companies in ensuring their performance and survival. As lean, the role of new technologies is to bring greater efficiency and effectiveness to the production process, supporting and allowing greater adaptability capacity and control over the flow. The recent I4.0 technologies in development and the lean philosophy are in the center of the current debates regarding the contribution of each one to the companies’ performance, what´s the correct order to implement them and in which intensity to obtain the best relation of such integration. Applying the survey methodology, a survey was held to understand the Portuguese industrial panorama, being analyzed 108 answers. The current study aims to analyze the correlation between Lean and I4.0, perceiving in which way the companies integrate Lean and I4.0, and to verify the impact over their performance. Besides mapping the overview of the Portuguese industrial fabric over the subject in matter.
