Abstract(s)
Este ensaio propõe-se a analisar o tipo de ferramentas especificamente fílmicas que ajudam a caracterizar um determinado objecto cinematográfico como realista. Esta análise é efectuada tendo em vista a sustentação teórica da vertente prática, concretamente a curta-metragem Ventre. Pretende-se a partir de uma das grandes teorias realistas do cinema, nomeadamente a de André Bazin, a construção de um discurso coerente que alicerce as escolhas efetuadas no filme. Como complemento, será descrita a criação da mise-en-scène de Ventre, com todos os seus elementos naturalmente intrínsecos, onde convergiram todos os esforços em busca dessa linguagem realista. Essa procura advém da motivação promovida pelo próprio tema narrativo do filme: a gravidez na toxicodependência. A uma temática dura, deveria corresponder uma representação da realidade adequada e, consequentemente, realista, pois na toxicodependência a própria realidade supera muitas vezes o domínio da ficção.
This essay aims to examine the kind of specifically filmic tools that help to provide a certain cinematic object of the characteristics to be considered realistic. The analysis' point is to support the theoretical aspects of the practice exercise, the short film Ventre. It is intended the construction of a coherent discourse in order to justify the choices made in the film, based on one of the great realist film theories, particularly that of André Bazin. In addition, the creation of the Ventre’s mise-en-scène will be described, as well as all its intrinsic elements, where all efforts converged in the pursuit of that realistic language. This demand comes from the motivation promoted by the very theme of the film: addiction in pregnancy. Such a hard issue should be matched with a proper representation of reality and therefore realistic, for in addicion, reality often surpasses the realm of fiction itself.
