Abstract(s)
A gestão escolar assume-se como uma das funções mais exigentes que ocorre nas
nossas instituições escolares, sendo a busca pela qualidade do ensino nas escolas uma
preocupação constante de qualquer elemento da organização nos dias de hoje. O Diretor
como uma das figuras mais proeminentes da organização merece especial destaque. É
preponderante entender a sua influência através do modo de atuação e das medidas
implementadas na instituição no sentido da qualidade do ensino. Neste trabalho, analisamos
fatores que no âmbito do exercício das funções diretivas influenciam a qualidade do ensino
na escola. Como objetivos específicos, procuramos identificar a qualidade do ensino
pretendida na escola, conhecer a perceção dos vários elementos da organização sobre a
qualidade de ensino, identificar a influência de fatores do ambiente escolar que suportam as
práticas letiva e avaliativas sobre a qualidade de ensino, debater o conceito de qualidade do
ensino em várias dimensões procurando conhecer as ações de liderança que impactam
positivamente a qualidade do ensino na escola propondo instrumentos/ferramentas
procurando melhorar a ação diretiva no sentido da qualidade do ensino. O nosso estudo de
caso, segue uma abordagem de metodologia de investigação mista. Procedemos à recolha de
dados através da análise documental, inquérito por questionário e inquérito por entrevista
semiestruturada na organização, triangulando os vários elementos recolhidos. No que
respeita aos principais resultados obtidos, é possível entender a visão da qualidade de ensino
pretendida para o Agrupamento Escolar, foram percecionadas as realidades de diferentes
elementos da organização, fatores de influência interna e externa, para além da identificação
das várias ações no sentido da qualidade do ensino ao nível diretivo com impacto na
organização. No entanto, deveremos ter presente que, os dados recolhidos estão
condicionados por um período pandémico que limita uma comparação mais fidedigna. Tal
facto leva-nos a reforçar a necessidade de uma persecução deste estudo em anos posteriores
procurando um entendimento mais aprofundado sobre a temática. No final, com base nos
dados recolhidos, propomos um plano de ação com instrumentos que visam a melhoria da
ação diretiva, sugerindo ações consideradas mais assertivas no sentido da qualidade de ensino
pretendida procurando solucionar os pontos fracos encontrados.
School management is assumed as one of the most demanding functions that occurs in our school institutions, and the search for the quality of teaching in schools is a constant concern of any element of the organization these days. The Director as one of the most prominent figures in the organization deserves special mention. It is important to understand its influence through the way it operates, and the measures implemented in the institution towards the quality of education. In this work, we analyze factors that, within the scope of the exercise of directive functions, influence the quality of teaching at school. As specific objectives, we seek to identify the quality of teaching intended in the school, to know the perception of the various elements of the organization on the quality of teaching, to identify the influence of factors of the school environment that support the teaching and evaluative practices on the quality of teaching, to discuss the concept of teaching quality in several dimensions, seeking to know the leadership actions that positively impact the quality of teaching at school, proposing instruments/tools seeking to improve the directive action towards the quality of teaching. Our case study follows a mixed research methodology approach. We proceeded to the collection of data through document analysis, survey by questionnaire and survey by semi-structured interview in the organization, triangulating the various elements collected. Regarding the main results obtained, it is possible to understand the vision of the quality of education intended for the School Group, the realities of different elements of the organization were perceived, factors of internal and external influence, in addition to the identification of the various actions towards the quality of education at the directive level with an impact on the organization. However, we must bear in mind that the data collected are conditioned by a pandemic period that limits a more reliable comparison. This fact leads us to reinforce the need to pursue this study in later years, seeking a deeper understanding of the subject. In the end, based on the data collected, we propose an action plan with instruments aimed at improving the directive action, suggesting actions considered more assertive in the sense of the intended quality of teaching, seeking to solve the weaknesses found.
