Abstract(s)
In an increasingly competitive global context, service companies seek to expand their international presence through differentiation and innovation strategies. This curricular internship report is part of the Master’s in Entrepreneurship and Internationalisation at ISCAP and results from 600 hours of professional experience acquired at AP|PORTUGAL, a company in the linguistic services and communication technologies sector. The internship took place in the Information and International Relations Department, covering activities such as managing international partnerships, analysing public tenders, and participating in communication and management projects. The research developed links the theoretical review of the specificities of service internationalisation and the main theoretical approaches in this area with the observed business reality. This practical aspect includes an analysis of the language services sector and its competitiveness. As a complement, an interview was conducted with the Human Resources manager of the host company, which allowed for a deeper understanding of the organization's internationalisation challenges and strategies. The analysis carried out highlighted a gradual and network-based internationalisation process, in line with the behavioural models present in the literature, and identified the focus on technology and accessibility as future strategic pillars.
