Dentro do processo de avaliação da educação o egresso assume importante papel
enquanto ajuizador da qualidade do ensino recebido, sobretudo no que diz respeito a
alguns fatores predominantemente importantes na construção de sua satisfação
educacional. Fatores estes que foram nomeados neste trabalho e que, acrescidos das
exigências estabelecidas pelos órgãos reguladores da educação, se traduzem na
importância do desenvolvimento de uma política de acompanhamento de egressos pelas
instituições de ensino. Nesse sentido, o foco deste estudo foi o Instituto Federal de
Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de Mato Grosso do Sul com o objetivo de responder à
seguinte pergunta: O IFMS está em condições de responder, com êxito, ao desafio da
avaliação do Sistema Nacional de Avaliação da Educação Superior (Sinaes) quanto à sua
política de egressos? Para tanto, realizou-se uma investigação exploratória com recolha
de dados pautada na pesquisa documental, em entrevistas e na aplicação de questionário
a 441 participantes, que resultou em 124 respostas de egressos de cursos técnicos de nível
médio e de graduações do IFMS. As análises dos dados obtidos garantiram à pesquisadora
a obtenção de respostas aos objetivos geral e específicos da pesquisa, sobretudo quanto
às condições do IFMS para atender às exigências da avaliação institucional externa sobre
política de egressos. Como resultado, consolidou-se o modelo de instrumento de
acompanhamento do perfil de egressos que poderá servir de base para o Instituto colocar
em prática seu programa de acompanhamento de egressos, bem como se identificou a
opinião dos egressos no que tange à sua satisfação em relação aos serviços educacionais
prestados pelo IFMS.
Within the educational evaluation process, the alumni play an important role in assessing the quality of the education provided, especially regarding some predominantly important factors in the construction of their educational satisfaction. These factors were named in this work and, added to the requirements established by the education regulators, are translated into the importance of developing a policy for tracking alumni by educational institutions. In this sense, the focus of this study was the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Mato Grosso do Sul in order to answer the following question: Is IFMS in a position to successfully respond to the challenge of the National Higher Education Assessment (Sinaes) regarding its policies for alumni? For that to happen, an exploratory investigation was carried out with data collection based on documentary research, interviews and a questionnaire addressed to 441 participants, which resulted in 124 responses from high school technical courses and IFMS undergraduate programs. The analysis of the data collected ensured that the researcher obtained answers to the general and specific objectives of the research, especially regarding the conditions of IFMS to meet the requirements of the external institutional evaluation on the alumni policies. As a result, the model of follow-up profile of the alumni that could serve as a basis for the Institute to implement its program was consolidated, as well as the opinion of the alumni regarding their satisfaction with the educational services provided by IFMS.
