Abstract(s)
O presente projeto surgiu em resposta à dissertação exigida para o grau de
mestre, no ramo de otimização energética na indústria química e é referente ao
dimensionamento de uma central de incineração de resíduos de couro proveniente da
indústria do calçado.
Após a informação fornecida pelo CIETI, sabe-se que diariamente são gerados 18
ton/dia de resíduos de couro da indústria de calçado no concelho de Felgueiras, com
uma humidade de 12 %. No entanto, no concelho em questão existe um aterro que tem
servido de depósito nos últimos anos, e como tal, para reduzir a contaminação
ambiental, e aumentar o rendimento da central de incineração, entendeu-se ser
adequado retirar diariamente 22 ton /dia de resíduos de couro do aterro, com 52 % de
humidade, para complementar a alimentação ao sistema, num total de 30 ton/dia.
Face a uma primeira análise do problema, o dimensionamento consistiu em 3
equipamentos essenciais: o secador, o triturador e o sistema fornalha/caldeira.
Na sequência dos cálculos efetuados no que respeita a balanços de massa,
balanços de energia, dimensionamento e quantificação do investimento, concluiu-se o
da necessidade de um secador rotativo com 2 m de diâmetro e 24 m de comprimento,
182.4 ton/dia de ar de secagem, e necessidade térmica de 317 kW. Será necessário um
triturador para reduzir a granulometria dos resíduos de couro. O sistema de
fornalha/caldeira tem um potencial de produção de vapor igual a 6,91 ton/h (6,4 ton/h
por indicação do fornecedor) nas condições de 40 bar e 450ºC. Será necessário um
investimento de 1 303 349 euros para esta unidade.
This project came up as an answer to the dissertation required for master degree, in the energetic optimization field in chemical industry, and refers to an incineration plant scaling for leather waste, from the industry of shoes. After the information provided by CIETI, it’s known that daily are produced about 18 ton/day of leather waste from the industry of shoes in Felgueiras county, with 12% of humidity level. However, there is a lanfill in the county that as been used for years as a deposit for this type of waste, so, to reduce the environmental foot print, and to improve the efficiency of the inceration plant, it was understood, daily, remove of the landfill 22 ton/day of leather waste with with 52% of humidity. After a first analysis of the problem, the scaling consisted in three essential equipments: the drying machine, the crushing machine and the furnace/boiler system. There were made calculations about mass and energy balances, the scaling and Investment quantification and has been concluded about a need of a rotary dryer with a length of 24 m and the diameter of 2 m, 182.4 ton/day of air and a termic need of 317 kW. It will be necessary a crushing machine to reduce the particles granulometry. The furnace/boiler system will provide 6,91 ton/h of steam a 40bar and 450ºC. The necessary investment it will be about 1 303 349 euros for this unit.
