Abstract(s)
Market competitiveness is driving the electric motor manufacturing industry to optimize its processes, including product packaging, in the current globalized scenario. Large industries tend to internalize processes to add value along the production chain and reduce dependence on suppliers. Evaluating these internalization scenarios is critical for informed decision making, and it is essential to understand the different perspectives, information gaps, and biases that can unduly influence a decision. A multicriteria decision support (AMD) model was developed using the SAPEVO-M method, which implements an AMD methodology for groups. This method allows the logical and structured definition of alternatives and criteria, as well as the aggregation of the scores of each alternative in each criterion, resulting in their selection and ranking. Seven criteria and four alternatives were used to evaluate the scenarios. In addition, a sensitivity analysis was performed to understand the robustness of the decision and to assess the behavior of the alternatives in the face of different variations in the weighting of the criteria. Finally, it is possible to define the best plausible alternative in the context of the company, guided by logical and defined criteria. Through an axiomatic approach, this model makes it possible to weight the opinions of several decision makers, to understand their preferences and to establish a ranking between the alternatives in relation to the criteria defined as relevant, allowing a comprehensive evaluation with qualitative data, taking into account the subjectivity inherent in the decision.
