Abstract(s)
The interconnection of the various computer systems of a company, improves the overall performance of the organization. The present work aims to integrate MES into SAP, aiming to automate and improve the control of the organization's materials. In order to allow systems to be interconnected, it was necessary to assess the material control needs of each area of the organization and, in partnership with the IT department, to program a solution. An online graphical interface was created to manage the batches of material on the production line, as well as restructuring the company's bill of materials (BOM). About 202 people were trained, enabling them to use the new tool. The developed system allows to automatically control the stabilization period of each material batch, as well as its expiration date. This guarantees the consumption of each material at the end of each operation, in the quantity defined in its BOM. Consumption is given automatically through transactions of productive lots, ensuring that no expired materials are used in the manufacture of products. There is traceability of the material batch used in each operation, creating evidence that, at the time of use, batch of material was in accordance with process specifications.
