Abstract(s)
An ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system is a management tool used by many organisations due to its ability to integrate different departments and centralise information. It provides real-time data access, which supports decision-making and improves operational efficiency. However, its implementation is a complex process that requires careful preparation and continuous follow-up. This work was carried out at Maincode, a company specialised in consulting and implementing the Sage X3 software. The objective of the dissertation is to analyse and develop solutions tailored to the needs of an industrial client during the preimplementation and post-implementation phases. In the pre-implementation phase, customised commercial documents were developed using SAP Crystal Reports, homepages were configured according to user profiles, and two specific functions were created: one to support quality control and another to assist with workstation sequencing on the shop floor. In the post-implementation phase, problems and new needs were identified, such as mass updates, batch traceability, and the definition of new flows. These were addressed through specific developments and system configurations. The results show significant improvements in process digitalisation, production organisation, and information traceability, highlighting the consultant’s role in adapting the system to the client’s needs and promoting a more efficient use of the ERP solution.
