Abstract(s)
O presente ensaio pretende explorar a importância do enquadramento na
narrativa, dando-se particular atenção ao ângulo de câmera. A composição vai além da
estimulação visual e estética, assume um papel preponderante na revelação cadenciada
do personagem na narrativa. Simultaneamente, abordar-se-á o estilo de iluminação
high-key, normalmente caracterizado por oferecer um ambiente difuso, pouco
contrastado e bidimensional, habitualmente, ausente de tensão. Estas duas vertentes do
desenvolvimento teórico procuram, conjuntamente, oferecer elementos que
caracterizem as personagens.
Este trabalho encerra com a exposição e análise da metodologia utilizada no
processo de direção de fotografia da curta-metragem de ficção Bégan.
This essay aims to explore the importance of framing in storytelling, with particular attention paid to the camera angle. Composition goes beyond visual and aesthetic stimulation, it assumes a predominant role in the cadenced revelation of the character in the narrative. Simultaneously, the high-key lighting style will be addressed, usually characterized by offering a diffuse, low contrast and two-dimensional environment, typically lacking tension. These two subjects of theoretical development jointly seek to offer elements that characterize the characters. This work closes with the exposition and analysis of the methodology used in the process of direction of photography of the short fiction film Bégan.
