Abstract(s)
O presente relatório de estágio descreve a colaboração com a Mizuru Tech, uma empresa jovem em crescimento, cujo foco é a fabricação e montagem em série de equipamentos elétricos e eletrónicos. O estágio teve como principal objetivo desenvolver e implementar um sistema de Business Intelligence (BI), considerado essencial pela direção para otimizar a gestão da organização. Através do uso do BI, procurou-se aumentar a capacidade de controlo sobre as fases de produção e identificar áreas de melhoria de forma eficiente, visando um crescimento estruturado e escalável da empresa.
Para a realização deste estágio, foi utilizada a metodologia de Action Research, que permitiu uma abordagem prática e participativa na identificação e resolução de problemas específicos da organização. As principais atividades realizadas ao longo do estágio incluíram a análise de requisitos, recolha de dados, desenho dos dashboards e, por fim, a implementação do sistema de BI.
Os resultados obtidos foram significativos. O sistema de BI proporcionou uma melhoria substancial na tomada de decisões, facilitou a identificação de áreas de melhoria no processo de produção, permitiu um controlo mais eficaz da eficiência produtiva e do desempenho dos colaboradores, e acelerou a digitalização de processos, o que resultou numa melhoria da qualidade da informação disponível e numa poupança de tempo considerável na consulta de dados. Um impacto positivo também foi observado nos colaboradores, que demonstraram maior motivação para atingir os objetivos estabelecidos pela direção e melhorar o seu próprio desempenho.
Além disso, o sucesso do sistema de BI poderá abrir caminho para a digitalização completa de todos os processos da empresa e à criação de um departamento de IT, que daria suporte contínuo à inovação e melhoria tecnológica da organização. Estas mudanças contribuíram para um aumento da competitividade da Mizuru Tech, reforçando a sua capacidade de crescimento no futuro.
This internship report describes the collaboration with Mizuru Tech, a young, growing company whose focus is the serial manufacture and assembly of electrical and electronic equipment. The main objective of the internship was to develop and implement a Business Intelligence (BI) system, considered essential by management to optimize the organization's management. Through the use of BI, the aim was to increase control over the production phases and identify areas for improvement in an efficient way, with a view to structured and scalable growth for the company. This internship used the Action Research methodology, which allowed for a practical and participatory approach to identifying and solving specific problems in the organization. The main activities carried out during the internship included requirements analysis, data collection, dashboard design and, finally, the implementation of the BI system. The results obtained were significant. The BI system provided a substantial improvement in decision-making, made it easier to identify areas for improvement in the production process, allowed for more effective control of production efficiency and employee performance, and accelerated the digitization of processes, which resulted in an improvement in the quality of the information available and considerable time savings when consulting data. A positive impact was also observed on the employees, who showed greater motivation to achieve the objectives set by management and improve their own performance. In addition, the success of the BI system could pave the way for the complete digitalization of all the company's processes and the creation of an IT department, which would provide continuous support for the organization's technological innovation and improvement. These changes have contributed to an increase in Mizuru Tech's competitiveness, strengthening its capacity for future growth.
