The consumption of dietary supplements has increased over the years. These products are affordable and often purchased without professional advice. Furthermore, they are not always used optimally due to a lack of information. Given the variety of supplements available for urinary tract infections (UTIs) and menopause, the study aims to create a database and advice flowcharts. Identification of active ingredients present in UTI and menopause supplements were collected from websites (pharmacies, drug stores, herbalists, health food stores, supermarkets) and databases (PubMed® and ClinicalTrials.gov). Next, ingredient information was compiled (searching monographs, ingredient lists, and clinical trials) to create a summary table. Using the collected information, flowcharts were created to support counseling. A total of 112 distinct ingredients were identified in the SA and websites (11 vitamins, 6 minerals, 18 probiotics, 64 plants, and 13 other ingredients). Vitamin C, cranberry, and D-mannose stand out for UTIs; and vitamin D and soy for menopause. Compiling up-to-date scientific information on ingredients in supplements and providing guidance is crucial for healthcare professionals and for the safe and effective use of these products.
