Abstract(s)
Este Relatório de Estágio foi elaborado no âmbito do Mestrado em Ensino da Música da ESMAE/ESE do Politécnico do Porto. Reporta o trabalho desenvolvido pela mestranda ao longo do ano letivo 2020/21 e toda a reflexão gerada pelo mesmo, desenvolvendo-se ao longo de quatro capítulos. Nos dois primeiros capítulos encontram-se o Guião de Observação da Prática Musical, com informação sobre a instituição de ensino onde foi efetuado o estágio – o Conservatório de Música do Porto e o relatório sobre a Prática de
Ensino Supervisionada, que inclui uma seleção de grelhas de observação das aulas individuais e de grupo, bem como as reflexões por elas geradas e as planificações e reflexões das aulas lecionadas supervisionadas. No terceiro capítulo desenvolve-se o Projeto de Investigação, cujo objetivo foi aferir quais os recursos e estratégias utilizados por estudantes de jazz principiantes na sua abordagem à improvisação, procurando determinar se existem diferenças significativas entre vocalistas e instrumentistas, no que se refere à utilização destes recursos e estratégias. O trabalho foi desenvolvido a partir da revisão de alguma da vasta literatura existente sobre a matéria, tendo sido elaborado um estudo fenomenológico sobre uma amostra não estatística de estudantes, que pretendeu ser de natureza qualitativa (questionário, gravação e entrevista), de forma a
conhecer as experiências e perspetivas dos participantes com a intenção de encontrar pontos em comum nas suas perceções, não pretendendo obter conclusões generalizáveis. No quarto e último capítulo encontra-se a Análise e Discussão dos Resultados Obtidos, que vão ao encontro da literatura revista: os recursos e estratégias
utilizados por este grupo de alunos parecem ser tanto mais eficazes quanto maior a dedicação demonstrada pelos mesmos no que diz respeito à Prática Deliberada Autodirecionada, Capacidade Imitativa, Competência Técnica e Experiência em Jazz, revelando algumas diferenças entre Vocalistas e Instrumentistas.
This Internship Report was prepared within the scope of the Masters’ Degree in Music Education of ESMAE/ESE of the Polytechnic of Oporto. It reports on the work that was developed during the 2020/2021 school year and all the reflection thereby generated. The report is developed over four chapters: the first two chapters are dedicated to the Observation of Musical Practice and Supervised Teaching Practice, including information about the educational institution where the internship was carried out – Conservatório de Música do Porto. The third chapter concerns the Research Project, whose objective was to assess the resources and strategies used by beginner jazz students in their approach to improvisation, determining whether there are divergent differences between vocalists and instrumentalists regarding the use of these resources and strategies. The research project was developed with the support of a review of some of the vast existing literature on the subject as a starting point. A phenomenological study was carried out on a non-statistical sample of students, which intended to be of a qualitative nature (questionnaire, recording and interview), designed to know the experiences and perspectives of the participants, with the intention of finding common points in their perceptions, not intending to obtain generalizable results. The fourth and last chapter contains the Analysis and Discussion of the Results, which are in line with the revised literature: the resources and strategies used by these students seem to be all the more effective as the dedication shown by them regarding Deliberate Self-Directed Practice, Imitative Ability, Technical Competence and Experience in Jazz, revealing some differences between Vocalists and Instrumentalists.
