Abstract(s)
The present document displays a study at ISEP, referring it to an Internal Emergency Plan around the campus from the development of this practical study case, it is intended to perform a document that includes important information for act, prevent and evacuate in case of fire spreading in the premises. It aims to assess the conditions of fire safety enclosure, defining the organizational structure of all media stakeholders in emergency situations, gathering the current security conditions of the school, designing evacuation plans and actions electing means and resources to effective and efficient safeguard intervention. To achieve these objectives we applied the Portuguese Technical Regulations of Fire Safety and complementary legislation, simulations of evacuation and burning behavior of structural elements. At the end of this study is performed a global evaluation of the area for assessment of conformity and nonconformity, the latest to elaborate a set of suggestions for improvement. This project aims to enhance the importance of the Internal Emergency Plan in fire safety subject, demonstrating the versatility in emergencies and increasing the safety on the premises.
