Abstract(s)
O presente relatório foi realizado no âmbito do respetivo estágio curricular, realizado entre os meses de novembro 2016 e julho 20l7, em Bruxelas, na empresa Everland Management & Co., como Assistente de Direcão, na abertura de dois novos hotéis no centro de Bruxelas.
Para conclusão do Mestrado em Direcão Hoteleira, foi proposta a realizacão de um estágio
que proporcionasse uma nova experiência e retirasse da zona de conforto. Após uma procura
exaustiva em algo desafiante, foi encontrada uma empresa que procurava estagiarios para variados
departamentos administrativos que fossem o motor de abertura de dois pequenos hotéis de sucesso na cidade de Bruxelas.
Mediante este estágio e o trabalho realizado no mesmo, serão abordadas as estratégias de aberturas de hotéis em grandes centros urbanos, como Bruxelas, e todo o processo operacional
que envolve uma abertura de hotel, nomeadamente pequenos hotéis.
O foco deste trabalho será, apesar de tudo, na aprendizagem durante o estágio curricular,
onde também serão expostas uma crítica e uma proposta de medidas que poderão aumentar a
rentabilidade dos hotéis e da empresa para foram exercidas funcões em estágio durante 8 meses.
This report vvas carried out as part of the respective curriculum internship between November 2016 and July 2017 in Brussels, at the company Everland Management & Co., as an Assistant Director, in the opening of two new hotels in the center of Brussels. For the conclusion of the Master`s Degree in Hospitality Management, it was proposed to carry out an internship that would provide a nevv experience and withdraw from the comfort zone. After an exhaustive search for something challenging, a company vvas found, looking for trainees to various administrative departments that vvould be the engine of opening tvvo small successful hotels in the city of Brussels. Through this stage and the Work done in it, the strategies of hotel openings in large urban centers, such as Brussels, and the entire operational process involving a hotel opening, namely small hotels, vvill be approached. The focus of this work will be, nonetheless, on learning during the curricular internship, where a criticism and a proposal of measures that could increase the profitability of the hotels and the company vvill also be exposed, for which the traineeships have been carried out for 8 months.
