Abstract(s)
Naked Image is a project-investigation in Arts, conducted in the context of ESMAE’s Scenic Arts Master’s Degree, in the area of expertise of Interpretation and Artistic Direction. In this report, a description of the creation and thought associated with the Laboratory of Colour Creation is made, where the body was investigated on its refusal of anthropomorphism by conditioning its perception. For such purpose, reality transformations such as shadows, light-colour and reflexion were operated. In the first chapter, the way of looking through art is analysed, as ways of understanding it currently in the fields of ideas, immateriality, authorship and perception. The succeeding three chapters follow the process of creating in studio, where the body has, as starting points, Tanizaki’s shadows, Katharina Grosse’s colour and Bergman’s reflection in childhood. The fifth chapter proposes looking the visible and the invisible, surrounding the discovery of new ways of looking, inspired in Merleau-Ponty, Leibniz and José Gil. The final considerations within the last chapter are about the journey of all the investigation and its process, casting the body to a new look about itself and the other.
