Esta dissertação, realizada no âmbito do Mestrado em Tradução e Interpretação Especializadas, tem como objetivo analisar de forma aprofundada a tradução de contos infantis do autor russo Mikhail Zoshchenko. Além da tradução propriamente dita, pretende-se refletir sobre as especificidades deste tipo de tradução, destacando a necessidade de criar uma ligação com o público-alvo não só a nível cultural, mas também emocional. Para tal, é feita uma análise macroestrutural, microestrutural, cultural e cognitiva, analisando os principais problemas e desafios encontrados durante o processo de tradução dos contos, bem como as estratégias e soluções tradutivas adotadas. Esta análise baseia-se nos princípios da teoria funcionalista de Christiane Nord, no método comparativo e nos procedimentos de tradução propostos por Jean-Paul Vinay & Jean Darbelnet, assim como na tipologia das dificuldades de tradução desenvolvida por Ana Maria Bernardo.
This dissertation, carried out as part of the Master’s Degree in Specialized Translation and Interpreting, aims to analyze in depth the translation of children’s stories by the Russian author Mikhail Zoshchenko. In addition to the translation itself, it aims to reflect on the specificities of this type of translation, highlighting the need to create a connection with the target audience not only on a cultural level, but also on an emotional one. In order to do this, a macro-structural, micro-structural, cultural and cognitive analysis is conducted, focusing on the main problems and challenges encountered during the translation process as well as the translation strategies and solutions adopted. This analysis is based on the principles of Christiane Nord’s functionalist theory, the comparative method and the translation procedures proposed by Jean-Paul Vinay & Jean Darbelnet, as well as the typology of translation difficulties developed by Ana Maria Bernardo.
