Abstract(s)
associados a melhores resultados financeiros.
Employee satisfaction has been an increasingly discussed topic in recent decades, being considered a key factor for the success and growth of organizations. Employees who work in a better business environment, and in turn, show higher motivation, engagement, and commitment in their professional roles, are associated with better financial results. Therefore, it is beneficial for these companies to understand the extent of the impact of this factor and to what degree and proportion investments in this element add value to the company, in order to increase profitability and operational efficiency in the most sustainable and optimal way possible. The main objective of this study is to examine the relationship between employee satisfaction and the economic and financial performance of companies. This study will focus on Iberian companies listed on the stock exchange from 2010 to 2023. The results obtained through regressions with this model show that, overall, employee satisfaction does not exhibit a direct and significant effect on the economic performance indicators (ROA, ROE, or Tobin’s Q).
