Abstract(s)
Este trabalho, no âmbito do financiamento, das despesas e da literacia financeira dos estudantes do ensino superior, procura identificar as formas de pagar as despesas, por parte dos estudantes, recorrendo a financiamento, a bolsas de estudo ou à ajuda de terceiros (família/amigos) e também verificar o nível de literacia financeira.
A metodologia aplicada foi a investigação por inquérito tendo-se obtido 320 respostas válidas junto dos estudantes do ensino superior (questionário submetido entre os meses de março e junho de 2017).
Conclui-se que os estudantes do ensino superior orientam as suas despesas quer para educação, quer para as despesas correntes, não se registando nenhuma diferença estritamente significativa. Adicionalmente, conclui-se que o montante da bolsa atribuída é inversamente proporcional ao rendimento familiar auferido, mostrando o cariz redistributivo dos serviços sociais. Finalmente, e, algo surpreendentemente, os resultados obtidos apontam para um grau de literacia financeira que não acompanha a posição da formação superior.
This work, in the context of financing, expenditure and financial literacy of students of higher education, seeks to identify ways of paying for students, through funding, scholarships or help from third parties (family / friends) and also check the level of financial literacy. The methodology used was the investigation by inquiry, that obtained 320 valid answers from students of higher education (questionnaire submitted between March and June 2017). It is concluded that students of higher education direct their expenses both for education and for current expenditure, with no significant difference being recorded. In addition, it is concluded that the amount of the scholarship awarded is inversely proportional to the family income earned, showing the redistributive nature of social services. Finally, and somewhat surprisingly, the results obtained point to a degree of financial literacy that does not accompany the position of higher education.
