Esta pesquisa é o resultado de uma investigação realizada no âmbito do Mestrado em Estudos Profissionais Especializados em Educação com, especialização em Administração de Organizações Educativas ofertado pelo Instituto Politécnico do Porto. Tem como objeto de estudo o exame de proficiência “Prova Brasil” aplicado bianualmente pelo governo federal aos alunos do ensino fundamental das escolas públicas de todo o país. O objetivo do presente estudo consistiu na análise da visão de diretores, professores, alunos e pais de alunos/ responsáveis pelos alunos de duas escolas públicas municipais da cidade de Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, a respeito da validade, aplicação e dos resultados do Sistema de avaliação da educação básica (Saeb) realizada no ano de 2017. Pretendeu-se com esta pesquisa revelar sob o olhar dos envolvidos a sua visão a respeito da validade, importância e dos motivos do nível desempenho alcançado pelos estudantes na Prova. Para a realização deste trabalho, foram utilizadas as técnicas de pesquisa bibliográfica documental, inquérito por entrevista estruturada e inquérito por questionário em duas escolas no município de Uberlândia MG, Brasil.
O estudo revelou falta de consenso entre os agentes do processo educativo representado por alunos e familiares, diretores e professores de escolas acerca dos motivos e da existência de deficit educacional.
Nos inquéritos realizados foram detectadas diferenças entre as escolas no perfil socioeconómico dos alunos e comunidade relacionadas com os diferentes índices de desempenho encontrados bem como se revelou evidente a presença de pressão sobre os alunos e professores para o alcance das metas projetadas.
This research is the result of an investigation carried out within the scope of the Master in Education with specialization in Administration of Educational Organizations offered by the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. Its object is to study the proficiency exam "Prova Brasil" applied biannually by the federal government to the elementary school students of public schools throughout the country. The purpose of the present study was to analyze the vision of principals, teachers, students and parents of students / parents of students from two municipal public schools in the city of Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, regarding the validity, application and results of the Evaluation System of basic education (Saeb) in 2017. This research was intended to reveal, under the eyes of those involved, its vision regarding the validity, importance and motives of the level of achievement achieved by the students in the Test. For the accomplishment of this work, the techniques of documentary bibliographic research, structured interview survey and questionnaire survey were used in two schools in the city of Uberlândia MG Brazil. The study revealed a lack of consensus among the agents of the educational process represented by students and families, principals and school teachers about the reasons and the existence of educational deficit. In the surveys conducted, differences were detected between schools in the socioeconomic profile of the students and community related to the different performance indexes found, as well as the presence of pressure on students and teachers to reach the projected goals.
