Abstract(s)
The current internship report was produced within the scope of the Curricular Unit of Supervised Teaching Practice, added to the study plan of the Master’s Degree in Teaching the 1st Cycle of Basic Education and Portuguese and History and Geography of Portugal in the 2nd Cycle of Basic Education, at the Superior School of Education, in Porto. Likewise, this document emerged as a formal requirement for admission to the public exam, in the same way that it enshrined obtaining a Master’s degree in the previously mentioned areas. The report reflects the work developed by the master’s student throughout the 2021/2022 academic year, as well as the theoretical and pedagogical-didactic knowledge acquired, not only this year, but throughout the entire academic journey. For this reason, the action put into practice during the internship is mirrored here, in which, after characterizing the context of educational intervention, the different moments of the Supervised Teaching Practice are exposed and refleted on: the challenges, difficulties, learning, the skills developed, both in the 1st cycle of basic education and in the 2nd cycle. On the other hand, considering the need for an investigative and reflective teacher, the difficulties of a 6th grade class in writing, more specifically, in the opinion text, constituted the motto for the development of an investigative project. Thus, this project aims at developing writing skills, at the opinion text level, through sequential and phased word within the framework of the teaching sequence methodology. Finally, it should be noted that assuming an investigative, reflective and critical conduct during the internship was fundamental for personal learning. Thus, believing that teacher training does not end, there is an urgency for teachers to keep up to date in order to respond to the needs of their students.
