Abstract(s)
Este trabalho teve como objetivo investigar, na perspectiva dos colaboradores de um Instituto Federal (IF) brasileiro, a percepção acerca do modo como se concretiza a liderança desse instituto e sua importância no clima organizacional e funcionamento da instituição. Para isso, foi realizado um estudo de caso em um dos campi dessa instituição. Os dados foram recolhidos a partir de um questionário constituído por questões abertas e fechadas, enviado para 44 colaboradores, sendo estes professores e técnicos administrativos. A análise foi feita, considerando-se três categorias estabelecidas a partir dos objetivos centrais propostos no trabalho em consonância com os dados recolhidos: a percepção dos colaboradores em relação ao estilo de liderança, ao clima organizacional e à importância da liderança para o funcionamento do IF investigado. Os dados recolhidos permitem afirmar que os colaboradores mostram-se satisfeitos quanto ao clima organizacional da instituição, sentindo-se motivados pelo modo como esta atua. Pode afirmar-se ainda que os colaboradores têm uma percepção bastante satisfatória do tipo de liderança implementada. Todavia, apontam que este modo de liderança não tem conseguido promover uma boa integração da equipe de colaboradores, aspecto que precisa ser melhorado. Conclui-se que a liderança, sob o ponto de vista dos colaboradores da instituição investigada, se caracteriza como democrática por agir com menor controle e maior flexibilidade no relacionamento com eles. Conclui-se ainda, que o modo como a liderança atua proporciona um clima positivo e satisfatório, e que desempenha um papel muito importante no funcionamento da instituição.
This paper aimed to investigate, from the perception of Brazilian Federal Institute employees, the leadership style and its importance in the organizational environment and instituction function. For that, a case study was carried out in one of the campus of this institution. The data were collected from a questionnaire consisting of open-ended questions and close-ended questions. The questionnaire was sent to 44 employees, as teachers and administrative technicians. The analysis was made considering three categories established from the central objectives proposed in the reserarch, such as: (1) the employees' perception regarding the organizational enviromment, (2) the style of leadership and, (3) the importance of leadership to the institution development. The data collected allow to sustain that the employees are satisfied with the organizational enviroment of the institution. They fell motivated by the leader atitudes. It can be affirmed that the employees are satisfied with the type of leadership implemented. However, they point out that this mode of leadership has failed to promote a good integration of the team of employees, it is one aspect that needs to be improved. It is concluded that leadership, from the point of view of the collaborators of the investigated institution, is characterized as democratic by acting with less control and greater flexibility in the relationship with them. It is also concluded that the way in which leadership operates provides a positive and satisfactory environment and plays a very important role in the institution development.
