Abstract(s)
Music is, in many ways, ludic by nature. Music and play both are or can be social, subject to rules, which obviously have to be learnt. In this report, which describes the Supervised Teaching Practice within the scope of the Master's Degree in Music Teaching, variant Analysis and Composition Techniques, I discuss, within the scope of the project developed, the application of ludic methods in music teaching, namely in the subjects of Ensemble, Introduction to Composition and Music Theory and Analysis, which belong to the Professional Education curriculum. The composition subjects were the target of the intervention project, based on ludic methods. Three pedagogical games were created in order to see if the use of this methodology is more effective for teaching and favours student motivation. In the Ensemble class there was a focus on the playful qualities of music from the point of view of creativity and expressiveness, such as the use of improvisation, expressive choral conducting and collective composition. By analysing the data obtained from observation, the subjective opinion of the students and the exercises related to the subject, the aim was to understand whether the strategy and method had been effective and to what extent improvements could be proposed.
