| dc.description.abstract | A Indústria 4.0 representa uma revolução em inúmeros processos, nomeadamente, a evacuação de edifícios, apresentando tecnologias avançadas como é o caso da criação de modelos de simulação. Neste sentido, reconhecendo-se que o tempo total de evacuação é crucial para a segurança de qualquer centro comercial, é essencial garantir a proteção dos ocupantes em situações de emergência, como catástrofes naturais, condições climáticas adversas, falhas mecânicas ou erros humanos. Portanto, é imprescindível existir um plano de evacuação de emergência eficiente que permita a saída segura de todos os ocupantes no menor tempo possível. No âmbito desta dissertação, o principal objetivo foi a análise e melhoria do processo de evacuação do Vila do Conde Porto Fashion Outlet. De modo a realizar este estudo, foi utilizada a simulação computacional, com recurso ao software Pathfinder, de forma a elaborar um modelo de apoio à decisão capaz de estudar e analisar diferentes cenários de evacuação, encontrar o menor tempo total de evacuação e encontrar possíveis pontos de estrangulamento e congestionamento. Por meio do software Pathfinder, foram analisados 6 cenários diferentes para determinar o menor tempo de evacuação, bem como identificar a localização do perigo com maior influência na duração da evacuação. O modelo de simulação foi utilizado para analisar a evacuação de 7000 pessoas, correspondente ao dia da semana com maior ocupação, isto é, o fim de semana. Os resultados obtidos nas simulações permitiram concluir que a evacuação com menor duração foi obtida no cenário 1 com todas as saídas disponíveis e demorou 627 segundos a ser concluída. Desta forma, demonstrou-se a eficácia de uma das tecnologias da Indústria 4.0 na melhoria de processos de evacuação e abriu novas perspetivas para a implementação de novas soluções. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Industry 4.0 represents a revolution in numerous processes, notably in building evacuation, presenting advanced technologies such as the creation of simulation models. In this sense, recognizing that total evacuation time is crucial for the safety of any shopping center, it is essential to ensure the protection of occupants in emergency situations, such as natural disasters, adverse weather conditions, mechanical failures or human errors. Therefore, it is imperative to have an efficient emergency evacuation plan that allows the safe exit of all occupants in the shortest possible time. Within the scope of this dissertation, the main objective was the analysis and improvement of the evacuation process at Vila do Conde Porto Fashion Outlet. To conduct this study, computer simulation was used, employing Pathfinder software, to develop a decision support model capable of studying and analyzing different evacuation scenarios, finding the shortest total evacuation time, and identifying potential bottlenecks and congestion points. Using Pathfinder software, 6 different scenarios were analyzed to determine the shortest evacuation time and to identify the location of the hazard with the greatest influence on the evacuation duration. The simulation model was used to analyze the evacuation of 7,000 people, corresponding to the busiest day of the week, which is the weekend. The results obtained from the simulations concluded that the shortest evacuation duration was achieved in scenario 1, with all exits available, and took 627 seconds to complete. This demonstrated the effectiveness of one of the technologies of Industry 4.0 in improving evacuation processes and opened new perspectives for the implementation of new solutions. | pt_PT |
