Abstract(s)
O objetivo fundamental deste estudo é perceber se o desempenho individual dos colaboradores do setor tecnológico português pode ser alavancado através de práticas intraempreendedoras e de lideranças transformacionais.
Nesse sentido, iniciou-se o trabalho com um estudo profundo da literatura no que diz respeito a estes três constructos, tendo-se posteriormente recorrido a uma abordagem metodológica quantitativa através da aplicação de um inquérito a 148 colaboradores do setor tecnológico português. Na análise dos dados foi utilizado o modelo de equações estruturais com recurso ao Partial Least Squares.
Os resultados mostram a existência de relações positivas entre (1) liderança transformacional e intraempreendedorismo, (2) liderança transformacional e desempenho individual e (3) intraempreendedorismo e desempenho individual, neste contexto específico. Adicionalmente, (4) foi possível comprovar empiricamente o efeito mediador do intraempreendedorismo na relação entre a liderança transformacional e o desempenho individual.
Enquanto outros estudos estabelecem relações diretas entre liderança transformacional, intraempreendedorismo e desempenho individual, este estudo analisa o efeito indireto (mediador) do intraempreendedorismo na relação entre liderança transformacional e desempenho individual.
The main objective of this study is to understand whether the individual performance of employees in the Portuguese technological sector can be leveraged through intra-entrepreneurial practices and transformational leadership. In this sense, the investigation began with a thorough study of the literature with regard to these three concepts, having subsequently resorted to a quantitative methodological approach through the application of a survey to 148 employees in the Portuguese technological sector. In the data analysis, the structural equation model was applied using Partial Least Squares. The results show the existence of positive relationships between (1) transformational leadership and intrapreneurship, (2) transformational leadership and individual performance and (3) intrapreneurship and individual performance, in this specific context. Additionally, (4) it was possible to empirically prove the mediating effect of intrapreneurship on the relationship between transformational leadership and individual performance. While other studies establish direct relationships between transformational leadership, intrapreneurship and individual performance, this study analyzes the indirect (mediating) effect of intrapreneurship on the relationship between transformational leadership and individual performance.
