- Determinantes da adoção da inteligência artificial por profissionais de recursos humanos: evidências de um caso prático exploratórioPublication . Soares, Tiago José Fernandes Costa; Rodrigues, Ana Cláudia Moreira; Moreira, RicardoRapid technological advances and the growing integration of Artificial Intelligence into organisational processes are transforming human resource management. This study analyses training and other factors that influence the adoption of AI tools by professionals in the field, with an emphasis on recruitment and selection practices. The exploratory research was conducted in three interconnected phases. In the first phase, a questionnaire on digital orientation was administered to eleven participants with the aim of exploring perceptions and knowledge about skills related to the use of artificial intelligence. In the second phase, four of these participants attended practical training on artificial intelligence in recruitment and selection, focusing on how the use of this tool can influence talent attraction and how it can be streamlined. In a third phase, the same training participants took part in a post-training questionnaire that allowed feedback to be collected on how the training took place and whether the material used was the most appropriate. Finally, a focus group was held to assess learning, perceptions and ethical and organisational challenges. The results show that the training contributed to increasing the perception of usefulness, digital literacy and technological self-efficacy, confirming the central role of continuous training in the adoption of AI. However, practical application was hampered by organisational barriers, the absence of clear ethical policies and concerns about data protection and algorithmic bias. It can be concluded that integrating AI into human resource management requires a participatory and continuous approach that values technological introduction as a driver of innovation and efficiency, combined with visionary leadership and ethical and inclusive policies, ensuring that technology complements rather than replaces the human factor.
