In the 21st century, companies increasingly operate across borders, making intercultural competence essential for effective communication and business success. Venture Vanguard is an international trade company that operates in a deeply intercultural environment while ensuring OMATAPALO Group’s needs for its multiple projects, specializing in procurement, purchasing, logistics, and exports. This internship report combines a theoretical framework focused on intercultural communication and competence with knowledge from the Master’s in Intercultural Studies for Business and includes a qualitative analysis of real-world scenarios from the internship. The findings suggest that intercultural competence is a crucial factor in minimizing misunderstandings and ensuring successful operations in international trade, as witnessed during the internship through the analysis of routine documentation and email exchanges, and in documented incident cases where adapting communication practices reduced delays and order corrections
