Abstract(s)
This dissertation aims to develop a test rig for rolling bearings, with a relief for evaluating the torque losses associated with bearings. This project came within the scope of the lack of a standardized test bench in the market for evaluating power losses. Torque losses associated with bearings are due to different interactions of the bearings with the environment to which they are associated. These losses can be divided into four distinct forms of torque losses, such as rolling friction torque, sliding frictional torque, drag losses, and rolling bearing seal losses. These losses are dependent on the service conditions the bearing is in. Service conditions that influence losses are applied loads, type of lubrication, lubrication immersion height and lubrication conditions. That said, it is crucial that all bearings are tested simultaneously on the test bench devoted to service conditions, in this case, test conditions. For this purpose, two cartridges of the same configuration will be used, which are equipped with two bearings. In the cartridges, one of the bearings available in the constituent elements of the cartridge and in the other bearing a load will be applied through a tightening system. With the variation of the different conditions, the change in torque will be measured by a cell, which is located between the two existing cartridges. Measure by comparing the values in the tests with the measured values of the torque at no load to be able to measure the change in torque and thus determine how power losses. These values collected in experimental tests carried out a posteriori, allow to make the models of torque losses in bearings more efficient. All developments on the test bench, whether the selection of accessories, the production and explanation of the elements, as well as the calculations and simulations carried out during the report.
