Abstract(s)
Alcançar o desenvolvimento sustentável dos destinos turísticos através do planeamento é um objetivo essencial e que requer pensamento estratégico por parte do programador. Neste sentido, o profissional de planeamento turístico, além de dinamizar o turismo local, pode propor um conjunto de atividades que promovam, também o desenvolvimento de todo uma região, como é o caso deste trabalho em que se pretende perceber até que ponto o Turismo Cultural associado ao Turismo Natureza, através do projeto “Costa de Vila do Conde 1 to 6”, são potenciais fatores de dinamismo e de desenvolvimento socioeconómico para a paisagem protegida do Litoral Sul de Vila do Conde.
Esta investigação, de abordagem qualitativa que, por não ser generalizável confere a denominação de “estudo de caso”, apoiou-se em diversificadas fontes e instrumentos de recolha de dados, sendo de destacar a observação direta, as conversas informais e a análise documental, numa compilação em Diário de Bordo.
Neste enquadramento, o objetivo geral deste trabalho é promover o Turismo Cultural como estratégia de desenvolvimento da economia local em seis freguesias da costa sul de Vila do Conde, através da implementação do projeto “Costa de Vila do Conde 1 to 6”.
Espera-se, com a operacionalização deste projeto, que a paisagem protegida do litoral sul de Vila do Conde fique mais enriquecida com os eventos culturais dinamizados, além de projetar a paisagem protegida de VC e alavancar a cidade como polo de atração turística.
Attaining the sustainable development of the tourist destinations through planning is an essential activity which requires strategical thinking on the part of the organizer. Following this, apart from boosting local tourism, the professional responsible for tourism planning can propose a set of activities that also further the development of a certain region as a whole, such as this piece of work, whose aim is to understand to what extent Cultural Tourism and Nature Tourism are potential factors of dynamism and socioeconomical development for the protected area of the South Littoral in Vila do Conde by means of the project “Protected landscape of the South Littoral in Vila do Conde 1 to 6”. This investigation, characterized by a qualitative approach that imparts the denomination “case study” for not being capable of becoming widespread, was based on diversified sources and instruments of data collection. Some to be stood apart are direct observation, informal conversations and documental analysis, in a compilation in a logbook. Within this framework, the overall aim of this piece of work is to promote Cultural Tourism as a strategy of the development of the local economy of six parishes in the south shore in Vila do Conde by setting up the project “Costa de Vila do Conde 1 to 6”. By setting up this project, it is expected that the protected landscape of the south littoral in Vila do Conde improves with the organized cultural events, aside from publicizing the protected landscape in Vila do Conde and fomenting the city as a hub of tourism attractions.
