O interesse pela influência dos eventos nacionais e das redes sociais na carreira dos
pequenos artistas, aliado à lacuna na literatura sobre esta temática, conduziu à realização
deste estudo.
Os principais objetivos deste estudo são averiguar como a participação em eventos
influencia a visibilidade e a carreira dos pequenos artistas e qual é a correlação entre a
exposição nas redes sociais e o aumento das vendas ou da visibilidade dos mesmos.
Neste sentido, foi realizada uma revisão de literatura, no sentido de aprofundar os
conhecimentos sobre os micronegócios, os artigos handmade e o marketing,
relativamente às redes sociais e eventos nacionais.
Através de uma abordagem qualitativa, utilizou-se, como técnica de recolha de dados, a
entrevista, como forma de averiguar as opiniões de 9 artistas relevantes para este estudo.
Os resultados obtidos permitiram estabelecer uma ligação entre a participação nos
eventos nacionais e a presença nas redes sociais, ao mesmo tempo que responderam aos
objetivos de investigação. Verificou-se que esta ligação permite aos artistas alcançarem
um maior sucesso na sua carreira, e, consequentemente, no seu negócio, na medida em
que se percebeu qual é o impacto que os eventos nacionais e as redes sociais têm para o
sucesso dos pequenos artistas.
Este estudo revela-se de extrema importância não apenas para os artistas, mas também
para empresas e para o Estado, que podem tirar partido deste para avaliarem como vão
agir futuramente.
The interest in the influence of national events and social media on the careers of small artists, combined with the gap in the literature on the subject, led to this study. The main objectives of this study are to find out how participation in national events influences the visibility and careers of small artists and what is the correlation between exposure on social media and increase of sales or visibility of them. In this regard, a literature review was carried out, in order to deepen the knowledge of micro businesses, handmade items and marketing, in relation to social networks and national events. Using a qualitative approach, interviews were used as a data collection technique to discuss the opinions of 9 artists relevant to this study. The results obtained allowed to establish a connection between participation in national events and presence on social media, while, at the same time, answering the research objectives. It was found that this connection allows artists to achieve greater success in their careers, and, consequently, in their business, to the extent that the impact that national events and social media have on the success of small artists was perceived. This study is of extreme relevance not only for artists, but also for companies and the state, which they can use to evaluate how they will act in the future.
