Abstract(s)
This work approaches the interpretative problematic of program music in the context of oboe repertoire, its relation with extra textual elements and how those influence the interpretation of a given piece. In order to achieve that goal, four pieces of different composers from the 18th to the 20th century were selected and the context in the programmatic music of each one was highlighted. In this work, the intention is to approach not only the historical, aesthetical and narrative contexts of the pieces, but also analyse them in terms of hermeneutics and semiology. This way, it may objectively contribute to a substantiated performance that approaches the ideological, musical and instrumental intentions of the respective composers.
