Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho pretende demonstrar e acompanhar o processo de criação do Museu do Mar e da Indústria Conserveira de Matosinhos. Um projeto de inegável relevância, uma parceria entre a Câmara Municipal de Matosinhos e a Fábrica Pinhais, que alia vontades e sensibilidades, orientadas para um objetivo comum, num processo que o torna único.
A elaboração deste trabalho foca-se nas fases de constituição do Museu, abordando aspetos da definição da estrutura conceptual, do projeto museológico e arquitetónico, até se obter o resultado final, produto dos diferentes contributos das entidades envolvidas que conjugam diferentes vontades para alcançar o objetivo final.
Este museu pretende mostrar às gerações atuais e vindouras o que foi a indústria conserveira, designadamente no concelho de Matosinhos, ilustrando o seu desenvolvimento até à atualidade, guardando a memória desta atividade, o que permitirá devolver a Matosinhos uma parte importante da sua história e da sua cultura.
Com o presente trabalho pretende-se abordar os distintos aspetos indispensáveis à constituição do museu e apresentar as diferentes etapas necessárias à sua criação. Referir os aspetos técnicos e práticos, a arquitetura do edifício, a instalação da coleção, assim como os aspetos administrativos. Assim como refletir, sobre o papel que possa assumir enquanto museu de história social, económica e tecnológica, considerando a diversidade quase única do seu acervo, no contributo que dará para a construção da memória da indústria conserveira, e no contexto da exploração turística destes temas.
The present work intends to demonstrate and accompany the creation process of the Museu do Mar e da Indústria Conserveira de Matosinhos. A project of undeniable relevance, a partnership between the Municipality of Matosinhos and Fábrica Pinhais, which combines desires and sensitivities, oriented towards a common goal, in a process that makes it unique. The elaboration of this work focuses on the phases of constitution of the Museum, registering aspects of the definition of the conceptual structure, of the museological and architectural project, until obtaining the final result, which is the product of different contributions of the entities involved that combine different wills to achieve the final goal. This museum intends to show current and future generations what the canning industry was like, namely in the Municipality of Matosinhos, illustrating its development until today, keeping the memory of this activity, which will allow Matosinhos to return an important part of its history and of its culture. The present work intends to approach the different aspects that are indispensable to the constitution of the museum and present the different stages necessary for its creation. Refer to the technical and practical aspects, the architecture of the building, the installation of the collection, as well as the administrative aspects. As well as reflecting on the role it can play as a museum of social, economic and technological history, considering the almost unique diversity of its collection, in the contribution it will make to the construction of the memory of the canning industry, and in the context of the tourist exploration of these themes
