| dc.description.abstract | A Knowledge Based Theory (KBT) apresenta-se como uma das principais teorias acerca das organizações, procurando explicar qual o papel do conhecimento para o sucesso das mesmas. Um dos principais objetivos desta investigação prende-se com a compreensão da relação que existe entre a KBT e os processos de transferência e integração de conhecimento nas diferentes organizações, bem como a importância de ambos os conceitos para o desenvolvimento desta teoria. Por outro lado, pretende-se com este estudo retirar conclusões de um conjunto de artigos relacionados com a temática, através da realização de três diferentes análises: bibliométrica, de conteúdo e de clusters. Tanto para a revisão da literatura como para os diferentes tipos de análise, procedeu-se à extração de artigos da base de dados Web of Science (WoS). Tanto a análise bibliométrica como a análise de clusters realizaram-se através de ferramentas disponíveis na WoS e no software Bibliometrix; por outro lado, a análise de conteúdo, efetuada com a mesma amostra, realizou-se a partir do software Voyant Tools. Esta investigação permite concluir que o conhecimento é, indubitavelmente, um dos recursos mais valiosos de uma organização; no entanto, a posse deste recurso não é suficiente para que a contribuição do mesmo seja preponderante para o sucesso da organização. A transferência e a integração do conhecimento são extremamente importantes para este sucesso e, por isso, o desenvolvimento da KBT deve procurar incorporar de uma forma mais vincada estes dois conceitos. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | Knowledge Based Theory (KBT), considered as one of the leading organizational theories, seeks the role of knowledge in an organization’s success. One of the primary goals of this paper is to delve into the nexus between KBT and the knowledge transfer and integration in different organizations, as well as understand the relevance of both processes to the development of this theory. Furthermore, this study includes a bibliometric, content, and cluster analysis of a set of articles related to KBT, knowledge transfer, and knowledge integration. To conduct a detailed literature review alongside the different analyses regarding these subjects, a set of numerous articles were extracted from Web of Science (WoS) database. Bibliometrix software and other available tools from WoS were used to conduct both bibliometric and cluster analysis, meanwhile the content analysis was executed by Voyant Tools software, regarding the same sample used for the previously mentioned analyses. The main findings show that knowledge is, without a doubt, one of the most valuable resources within an organization. However, the trivial possession of this asset is not enough to guarantee that its contribution will be preponderant to the organization’s success. Both processes - knowledge transfer and integration - are extremely important to the overall performance (and success) of the organization. Thus, future developments of KBT should incorporate, vehemently, both processes to reinforce this theory’s validity, since the nexus between these processes and KBT is not yet well defined. | eng |
