Abstract(s)
The present internship report was prepared within the scope of the Curricular Unit of Supervised Teaching Practice (PES) of the Master's Degree in Teaching Music Education in Basic Education. It is divided into three chapters: I - Observation of Music Education Teaching Practice in the 2nd Cycle of Basic Education, where the observed classes and respective reflections are presented; II - Supervised Teaching Practice in the 2nd Basic Education, presenting reflections and principles about my pedagogical choices and internship experience; III - Research Project: "Promoting Vocal Health in Music Education." The last chapter is dedicated to the research of Vocal Health Promotion in the context of Music Education, examining from a particular perspective the experiences and behaviors that music teachers in Basic Education have and demonstrate in the area of voice and consequently vocal health. In addition to this, it aims to verify some teaching strategies and awareness in order to promote vocal health in students. The research methods used were document analysis, semi-structured interviews with Music Education teachers currently working, accessed through the snowball sampling technique, and thematic analysis of the interview transcripts. The results show that Music Education can be relevant in Promoting Vocal Health, with the possibility of approaching voice as content. Thus, it is important to provide reflections and training opportunities so that music teachers have tools and pedagogical methodologies to transmit and promote correct vocal use for younger generations.
