Abstract(s)
There are about 1.4 billion vehicles in circulation worldwide and one of the essential factors for this to be possible is their maintenance and repair. These ensure that the life of the vehicle is maximized. The main responsible for this service to be carried out properly are the car repair shops. For auto repair shops to maintain their high efficiency levels and meet the stipulated delivery dates, they must have a good scheduling system. Scheduling a car repair shop is a very complex task due to the number of variables and size it can take. As this task usually falls to only one person, usually the head of the workshop, he needs the maximum number of tools to support the decision in the construction of the schedule. Throughout this work, a decision support system was developed and tested based on the mathematical model presented by Özgüven et al., (2010). This system has the ability to provide a solution that allocates all the tasks to a technician and a workstation according to the conditions entered. The program also manages to create schedules with the planning of technicians and jobs. The system was tested with real data and was able not only to create plans and schedules for the human and physical resources in question, but it was also possible to analyze that human resources are the limiting resources of the company in question.
