Resumo(s)
In this paper we compare the methodology using the Excel software used in the academic year 2014_15 with the methodology using the Java in the academic year 2013_14. These were taken to teaching content of the course of Numerical Methods (METNU) Systems Engineering Degree from the College of Engineering of Porto Institute. In terms of results Excel software appears as a good alternative to Java.
