| dc.description.abstract | A saída do Reino Unido (RU) da União Europeia (UE) originou uma incerteza no futuro político e económico do país e do mundo. Devido à forte vinculação inerente ao passado histórico entre Portugal e o RU, a presente dissertação apresenta como principal objetivo a análise do impacto do Brexit nas transações relacionadas com o setor vitivinícola, nomeadamente relativas ao Vinho do Porto, através do estudo sobre a Associação das Empresas de Vinho do Porto (AEVP). A motivação para esta investigação advém do facto de nenhum país ter equacionado e efetivamente cessado o seu vínculo com a UE, acontecimento que gerou agitação em todo o mundo. Tendo por base uma metodologia mista, quantitativa e qualitativa, foram obtidas informações acerca das exportações referentes aos períodos pré e pós Brexit: 2015 a 2020 e 2021, respetivamente. Observando os resultados alcançados, pode constatar-se um aumento significativo das exportações de Vinho do Porto para o RU, no ano após o referendo (2017), justificado pela ainda indefinição dos acordos comerciais. Na fase posterior ao Brexit (2021), denota-se, ao contrário do esperado, que as exportações de Vinho do Porto para o RU se encontram numa fase crescente, o que revela que este tipo de exportações apresenta pouca sensibilidade face às alterações provocadas pelo Brexit. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The United Kingdom's exit from the European Union has created uncertainty in the political and economic future of the country and the world. Due to the strong historical ties between Portugal and the United Kingdom, this dissertation presents as his main objective the analysis of the Brexit impact on the transactions related to the wine industry, namely related to Port Wine, through the study of the AEVP. The motivation for this research comes from the fact that no country has equated and effectively ceased its ties with the European Union, an event that has generated unrest around the world. Based on a mixed methodology, quantitative and qualitative, information was gathered about exports for the pre and post Brexit periods: 2015 to 2020 and 2021, respectively. Observing the results achieved, one can see a significant increase in Port Wine exports to the UK in the year after the referendum (2017), justified by the still undefined trade agreements. In the post-Brexit phase (2021), it can be seen, contrary to expectations, that Port Wine exports to the UK are on the rise, which shows that this type of exports have little sensitivity to the changes caused by Brexit. | pt_PT |
