Abstract(s)
âCorrespondĂȘncia â Projeto ArtĂstico de J.D.â assumes itself as a theatrical performance sustained by a dramaturgy built from the exchange of correspondence between the community of the town of Ovar and Leandro Ribeiro, protected in the anonymity of Joaquim Guilherme Gomes Coelho (JĂșlio Dinis pseudonym) and his heteronym Diana de Aveleda. The result of this research culminates in a guided tour of the âMuseu JĂșlio Dinis - Uma Casa Ovarenseâ, where the writer lived during the summer of 1863, and wrote what would become "As pupilas do senhor Reitor". Not being an historical representation, the project crosses the current and old correspondence through themes of identity of the place (the city of Ovar and its people) and the state of the Art. It is an exercise that unites the spectator and the actor, breaking the border that separates them. It allows a deep artistic reflection on the concepts of private and public; altering the spatial conventions of audience and stage, by taking place in an unconventional theatre site: Museum House. The performance reflects this interest by the inspiration of the place and its memory, respecting the architecture and furniture of the museum, but subverting some of its functions, thus enhancing fiction.
