Abstract(s)
e burocracia internas.
This research aims to understand the impact of organizational culture and organizational climate on knowledge production and management in a Knowledge Intensive Organization (KIO). Inherently we proceeded to identify the dimensions of organizational culture and organizational climate, mapping points of interference or mutual influence between culture, climate and knowledge management, and identifying the characteristics of the knowledge management process. The field of the empirical study is the Federal Institute of Goiás (IFG), Câmpus Itumbiara, characterized in this work as a public educational KIO. The methodological option was a questionnaire survey, which was applied online (n=96), allowing us to understand that the IFG - Câmpus Itumbiara Knowledge Management presents efficiency in the use of informal structures, supported by a good organizational climate, by a stable organizational culture, and the professionalism and productivity of workers. As for the formal structures, the research pointed out that it is necessary to develop and implement systematic Knowledge Management procedures that reinforce the interpersonal relations role in knowledge creation, managing the knowledge in a more efficient way and creating a superstructure of sharing, to reduce the dependence of the individualized knowledge, the problems of communication and the possible negative effects of internal rotation and bureaucracy.
