O planeamento financeiro é essencial para assegurar a viabilidade e sustentabilidade de
qualquer negócio. No entanto, muitos empreendedores enfrentam dificuldades por não
conhecerem o retorno do capital investido, devido a falta de planeamento adequado antes ou
durante a abertura da empresa. Sem esses dados, os preços dos bens ou serviços acabam por
ser definidos com base em condições de mercado, o que evidencia a importância de uma análise
detalhada dos custos e despesas para uma determinação precisa da margem de lucro.
Nas clínicas dentárias, o planeamento financeiro exige métodos rigorosos para calcular os
custos dos serviços prestados. Para apoiar essa necessidade, foi utilizado um estudo da Ordem
dos Médicos Dentistas, realizado em colaboração com a Universidade do Algarve, que analisa
detalhadamente os custos associados aos atos da medicina dentária. Com base nos resultados
deste estudo, desenvolveu-se um software que permite às clínicas simular e atualizar os custos
de tratamentos e consultas de acordo com o perfil específico de cada clínica.
Este projeto consistiu no desenvolvimento de uma aplicação capaz de parametrizar e simular
os custos de consultas e tratamentos dentários. A aplicação oferece ao dono de uma clínica
dentária a possibilidade de ajustar os custos à sua realidade especifica, enquanto apresenta
valores de referência para suporte a decisão. A aplicação foi desenvolvida com as tecnologias
React, NodeJS e MySQL: React para a criação de interfaces dinâmicas e responsivas; NodeJS e
Express para a construção de um backend robusto e escalável e MySQL para o armazenamento
seguro e organizado dos dados.
A aplicação foi testada em cenários simulados com perfis variados de clínicas, demostrando a
sua capacidade de fornecer estimativas de custo precisas e ajustadas à realidade de cada
estabelecimento. Este sistema visa apoiar os médicos dentistas na tomada de decisões
informadas sobre o ajuste de preços e a gestão de recursos, contribuindo para uma maior
sustentabilidade financeira e previsibilidade dos negócios no setor dentário. Com o uso
contínuo, espera-se que a ferramenta permita às clínicas dentárias otimizar custos e alinhar os
preços aos seus custos operacionais de forma mais precisa.

Without this data, the prices of goods and services are typically set based on market conditions, highlighting the importance of a detailed analysis of costs and expenses for accurately determining profit margins. In dental clinics, financial planning requires rigorous methods to calculate the costs of provided services. To support this need, a study by the Portugues Dental Association, conducted in collaboration with the University of Algarve, was utilized to analyse in detail the costs associated with dental procedures. Based on the findings of this study, software was developed to allow clinics to simulate and update the costs of treatments and consultations according to each clinic’s specific profile. This project involved the development of an application capable of parameterizing and simulating the costs of dental consultations and treatments. The application enables dentists to adjust costs according to their specific reality while also providing reference values to support decision-making. The application was developed using React, NodeJS and MySQL technologies: React to create dynamic and responsive interfaces; NodeJS and Express to build a robust and scalable backend and MySQL for secure and organized data storage.
