Este trabalho tem como objetivo a exposição da vida e da obra de Ysaÿe, bem como das suas técnicas violinísticas.
Irão ser abordadas várias obras, sendo algumas compostas por Ysaÿe, tais como as ''Seis Sonatas para Violino Solo'' op.27 e o ''Rêve d'Enfant'' op.14; uma outra que lhe foi dedicada, a ''Sonata em Sol Maior para Piano e Violino'' de Guillaume Lekeu; e ainda uma obra cujo arranjo foi realizado por ele, o ''Caprice d'Après l'Etude en forme de Valse de Camille Saint-Saëns'' op.52.
Contudo, a referência principal será o seu opus 27, onde iremos aproveitar para dissecar cada uma das seis sonatas, apontando as características de cada um dos dedicatários.
This work aims to expose Ysaÿe's life and work, as well as his violinistic techniques. Several works will be covered, some composed by Ysaÿe, such as the ''Six Sonatas for Solo Violin'' op.27 and the ''Rêve d'Enfant'' op.14; another dedicated to him, Guillaume Lekeu's ''Sonata for Piano and Violin in G Major''; and still a work whose arrangement was made by him, the ''Caprice d'Après l'Etude en forme de Valse de Camille Saint-Saëns'' op.52.
