Nos últimos anos, com a evolução da indústria, têm sido adotados novos paradigmas e ferramentas inteligentes para facilitar a execução dos processos fabris e, assim, torná-los mais eficientes. Neste âmbito, enquadram-se a simulação e a otimização, que funcionam como um sistema de apoio à decisão das empresas, enquanto fornecem soluções otimizadas para as suas linhas de produção. No entanto, apesar das várias ferramentas de simulação existentes no mercado, a indústria não as utiliza exaustivamente. Esta situação advém da necessidade de conhecimentos de programação, da falta de otimização especializada para processos produtivos do tipo job shop e da apresentação de resultados ser feita de uma forma complexa. Deste modo, é necessário criar uma alternativa que contenha um sistema de apresentação de resultados em gráficos e um algoritmo de otimização dedicado a job shops. Assim, esta tese visa o desenvolvimento de uma solução que passa pela criação de uma plataforma web para gestão de simulações/otimizações dos processos fabris com um sistema intuitivo de dashboards. São explorados vários tipos de simulação e técnicas de otimização, como forma de obter os conceitos fundamentais para o projeto, e ainda ferramentas existentes para o desenvolvimento web e de dashboards. No final, a solução é avaliada perante diferentes perspetivas, tanto ao nível da interface da plataforma como do desempenho do algoritmo implementado, para aferir a qualidade geral do produto.
In the last few years, with the evolution of the industry, new paradigms and smart tools have been adopted to simplify the execution of manufacturing processes and to increase their efficiency. In this field, techniques such as simulation and optimization support decision-making for companies, while offering optimized solutions for their production line. However, despite of all the simulation tools on the market, the industry still does not use them extensively. This problem comes from the need to have programming skills, lack of specialized optimization for job shop production processes and the complex presentation of simulation results. Thus, it is important to develop an alternative that contains a graphical presentation system. Also, there is a need for the implementation of an optimization algorithm dedicated to job shop processes. So, this thesis aims at the development of a solution that involves the creation of a web-based platform for the management of the company manufacturing processes’ simulations and optimizations with an intuitive dashboards system. Simulation methods and optimization techniques are explored to get essential knowledge for this project. Also, existing web development and dashboards tools are analyzed. In the end, the solution is evaluated using different perspectives, both at the platform interface and at the algorithm performance levels, to assess the product's global quality.
