Toda e qualquer indústria roda em volta da qualidade e em grande parte da indústria, fatores como a produtividade e a rentabilidade são determinantes para o crescimento e sustentabilidade de uma empresa.
Novamente, em todo e qualquer processo é importante garantir repetibilidade e estabilidade do processo, particularmente na maquinagem por arranque de apara.
Para tal acontecer, é necessário definir perfeitamente o processo, a sequência de maquinagem e criar ferramentas físicas e organizacionais que sejam menos propícias ao erro.
No que toca a setup de máquina, este é passível de vários erros que por vezes são difíceis de detetar através de ferramentas de controlo tradicionais como o controlo dimensional. Há casos em que o produto final apresenta falhas e torna-se difícil rastrear o erro quando este apenas pode ser prevenido, mas até certo ponto indetetável aquando da existência deste. Para evitar esses erros, é importante criar ferramentas de fácil afinação, que exijam o mínimo de esforço possível, e criar mecanismos que permitam a deteção de falhas durante a produção, e não apenas no produto final.
Este trabalho oferecerá um melhoramento do processo de maquinagem de um componente com forte incidência no setup de máquina para uma das etapas do processo de fabrico desse mesmo componente, através do desenvolvimento de uma ferramenta de aperto que virá facilitar toda a etapa de setup.
Each and every industry revolves around quality and on a big portion of the industry factors as productivity and profitability are crucial to the growth and sustainability of a company. Again, in each and every process it is important to ensure process repeatability and stability, particularly in machining through chipping. For this happens, it is necessary to perfectly define the process, machining sequence and to create physical and organizational tools that are less prone to error. Regarding machine setup, it is susceptible to several errors which are sometimes difficult to detect through traditional control tools such as dimensional inspection. There are some cases in which the final product is faulty and it is difficult to trace the error when the error can only be prevented, but sometimes undetectable when it occurs. To avoid those errors, it is important to create tools of easily tuning which require minimal effort to use and to create mechanisms which allow for flaw detection during production and not only during final test. This work will bring a chance to improve the machining process of a component with strong incidence in machine setup of one component’s manufacturing process through the development of a clamping tool which will make the setup easier.
