Talent management versus tourism and hospitality business: a bibliometric analysis

| dc.description.abstract | This paper examines the importance of talent management in tourism and hospitality, focussing specifically on the effect of human capital management on business success. As it is a topic that is still relatively underexplored in the literature, a bibliometric analysis was conducted, guided by the following keywords: ‘Human Capital’, ‘Tourism’, ‘Hospitality’, and ‘Talent Management’. The scientific mapping of co-occurrences identifies contradictory perspectives and provides insights for future research, highlighting the most relevant dimensions for understanding this issue. The study of bibliometric indicators, along with the analysis of co-occurrences and their main connections, enabled the extraction of four clusters: ‘Talent Management’ (Cluster 1), ‘Management Practices’ (Cluster 2), ‘Business Sustainability’ (Cluster 3), and ‘Corporate Responsibility’ (Cluster 4). The data were processed using the VOSviewer software.
