A arquitetura da personagem fílmica obedeceu a várias etapas: começou na pré-produção, passou para a fase seguinte, ou seja, a produção e terminou na pós-produção. No domínio do cinema documental e, mais concretamente, no caso de uma biografia cinematográfica, a sua representação aparece através de testemunhos, documentos, imagens, desenhos e sons que, ajudam a construir uma memória e testemunham o tempo e o modo da personagem. Neste contexto, foi nossa intenção estabelecer uma simbiose entre a biografia enquanto género literário e cinematográfico, mas também com a história, contexto social e político. No caso de Henrique Alves Costa (1910-1988) procurou-se traçar algumas coordenadas do cineclubista crítico e historiador de cinema nascido no Porto, bem como, elencar um conjunto de factos que o tornam uma referência incontornável da sétima arte e uma das personagens mais influentes ao longo do séc. XX.
The architecture of the film's character followed several stages: it began in pre-production, moved on the next phase, production, and ended in post-production. In the realm of documentary cinema, and more specifically in the case of a cinematic biography, its representation appears through testemonies, documents, images, drawings and sounds that help build a memory and witness the time and manner of the character. In this context, our intention was to establish a symbiosis between as a literary and cinematic genre, but also with the historical, social, and political context. In the case o Henrique Alves Costa (1910-1988), we aimed to outline some coordinates of the critical cinephile and historian from Porto, as well as to list a set of facts that make him an unavoidable reference in the seventh art and one of the most influential personalities throughout the 20th century.
